An engagement with Nordlys Investigations follows four steps. The framework is agreed before work begins, and we keep you informed as it progresses.

Confidential first contact
You describe the matter in as much detail as you feel comfortable with. Sensitive details come later, once we have agreed a secure way to communicate.

Assessment and scope
We get an overview of the matter, say clearly what is possible and what is not, and agree the purpose, scope and expected effort.

Structured delivery
The agreed research or observation work is planned, carried out and reviewed with you as it progresses.

Documentation you can use
Findings are compiled into clear documentation stating the time and source of each observation.

Only what has been agreed
We carry out only the measures agreed in advance, in writing or verbally. Any change is agreed before it is put into effect.
Within the law
Engagements are carried out within the applicable rules. If a requested approach is not possible, we say so immediately.
Confidentiality by default
Information is shared only with those who genuinely need it. The communication channel is agreed with you.
Sober documentation
We document observations, not opinions. Source and time are stated so the material can be used further.
